About Reflexology 

Reflexology is a gentle holistic non-invasive complementary touch therapy and is suitable for people of all ages. 

 

Foot reflexology is based on the principle that each organ in the body is reflected on certain areas of the feet. The areas are called “reflex points”. By relaxing the feet and using a thumb walking technique, the reflex points are identified and gently worked upon by thumb and finger pressure. 

Reflexology may aid balancing of the systems of the body as well as bring about complete relaxation. 

Some of the potential benefits of reflexology may be: 

 

  • Improvement of general well-being. 

  • Reduction of stress and anxiety. 

  • Improved sleep. 

  • Re-balancing of systems of the body. 

  • Promote release of toxins from the body. 

 

There may be very occasional times where Reflexology is not a suitable treatment. This would be identified during initial consultation. 

 

I am especially interested in Reflexology for women’s health and have completed courses in reflexology for subfertility, treatment during pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause.
